Maternity pay
Law 7578 raised the post-birth period from 8 weeks to 16 weeks from 1 May 2026. Total 24 weeks, 168 days. A multiple pregnancy pays 182 days. Daily benefit is 2/3 of last-12-month daily earnings. Calculators that still write 112 days are old.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services birth grant is a separate payment; this chart does not calculate it.
SGK pays it. 90 short-term premium days in the year before the birth are required. The employer does not pay a wage for this period.
The 2026 tariff is 1,621 TL. Paid once on a live birth. 120 premium days are required. No petition is asked for.
