Paid annual leave is in article 53 of Law 4857. The right arises when one year with the same employer is completed. Leave days are zero for less than one year. Daily wage, as with severance and notice, is monthly gross divided by 30. On minimum wage 14 days is 15,414 TL gross.
| Service | Leave |
|---|---|
| Under 1 year | 0 days |
| 1–5 years (5 years included) | 14 days |
| More than 5 years, less than 15 years | 20 days |
| 15 years and after | 26 days |
| Under 18 or over 50 | at least 20 days |
It becomes money on exit, not while employed
While the job continues, leave cannot be swapped for money. When the contract ends, unused days are paid at the last wage. They are also paid on resignation. Because this amount counts as wages, worker SGK, unemployment, income tax and stamp tax are taken on the exit-month payslip. The chart shows the gross day wage; net depends on that month’s cumulative tax.
The age protection raises the floor; it does not lower the ceiling. A 52-year-old worker with 16 years of service gets 26 days, not 20.
